Been a long time eh?

Hi Cody followers – How are you all then?
Well, it has been quite some time since we last ‘spoke’ but there has one hell of a lot been going on for Chris and I have been walking around following him everywhere, so I have not had the paws on the keyboard since just before Christmas !!
Where do we start – Christmas was the usual whooopee time we always have, as Chris’s Mom and Dad came to the house for the two days, because it is the Law and has always been that way, they slept all day and then said thanks, we have had a wonderful time !! – It wasn’t too bad for me and Rhea as we had some nice presents and slept most of the day as well !!

 

Things went really bad for Chris from then on because his Dad, Paddy, took a turn for the worse and was in and out of hospital all the time, and Chris was visiting Barnstaple hospital all the time to see his Dad. He was up and down like a whores draws on a Saturday night !! – Chris’s day was up to see if his Mom was okay, shopping, doing the washing, cleaning, gardening etc. etc. home for a sandwich, take us two us and then up the hospital visiting and that went on for months. His Mom, decided she didn’t want to be left out, so kept pressing her alarm button so Chris got plenty of calls in the middle of the night to go a pick her up off the floor. Eventually, they admitted her into hospital as well just so Chris could visit even more !!!! Paddy came home but ended up on an oxygen machine all the time which was a real strain for him as before, he was on the go all the time. Paddy died on March 19th 2012 and we all really miss him. Chris had to organise his funeral and all that, and then to scatter the ashes which was a pretty difficult time. Chris’s Mom & Dad had known each other for 70 years and because she missed him – went on hunger strike, kept falling over and pressing the alarm button AGAIN, and once again – ended up in hospital  - so Chris could go visiting again!!!!
Anyway, enough of all that …. what else has happened? They sold the kennel on wheels … I mean the motorhome …… it was okay, but because it was 24 feet long, they could never find anywhere to park it – so, next plan is to tow a trailer with a motorbike on the back …… It was something from the bloody fairground going down the road ……. gypo’s on the move.

 
 

We went down to Exeter and ended up getting a another kennel but only two wheels this time …. talk about embarrassed, they bought a flamin’ caravan ……. that’s my street cred gone down the pan. Last time they had one, way, way before I was their little pain in the ass ……. and they took it for a trail just across the Devon / Cornwall border to try it out. Chris pulled into a layby in the lane to let another pass and when he got along side the car, the driver undid his window, Chris’s little chubby face smiling to think he had be so courteous to let someone past, and the driver of the other car said “alright mate” …… yes thanks….. “ Well, why don't you f**k off home” and then drove off leaving Chris boiling like a kettle but couldn’t do nothing ‘cause he had the caravan on the back …. classic.
Rhea was at Crufts earlier and actually got a placing, a Very Highly Commended or 5th in other words, and she has qualified again for next year. She also won Best Bitch and Reserve Best in Show at the South West Dobermann Show, so is doing really well in the Showing World

 

We have been away in the new van a few times and it is really comfy and now, we can all jump in the car and go to explore the towns and get to leave deposits in all different doggy waste bins !!

 
 

I thought it was bad enough being members of the bloody Caravan and Camping Club but now, they have gone and joined the Caravan Club as well !!! It is still worth it though because you get to watch all the proud owners of a tin box on wheels whose first job it is when you get on site, is to clean it but under Health and Safety at Work and on Caravan Club sites Act of 1974 – you must wear protective clothing, namely, the wife's green marigolds !!!!

 

It’s amazing how house proud they all are and of course, there is the Caravan Club dress code where, like on the golf course or something, you have to dress accordingly while walking around the field !!

 

Well, as you can see, it has been a bit of a crap year so far, so sorry this is not so funny but I will try harder next time. I hope you are all well and keep smiling and don’t let people say to you – “ Why the long face” !!!!
