Swimming

Well what a day I have had today ........ they told me we were going out in the car and when I got to get in the car, I did the usual and laid on the ground and wouldn't budge - I only do it just to wind 'em up Ha! Ha! .......

We were driving for what seemed ages - I kept telling fat boy who was driving he was going the wrong way, but would he listen - NO. Anyway, after about three quarters of an hour (not exactly sure as I didn't have a watch on!!) he said - Oh! I know where we are and we headed to a place called Exbridge. I got out of the car to stretch the old legs and we went to the river .... well, I have never seen one that close before, so I was pretty nervous about getting in - besides that, the water was bloody freezing !!



Anyway, I ventured in as far as my belly, but that was far enough .... Chris kept saying "get in ya big poof" but didn't see him getting his kit off and getting in.

We had a little walk and then went to the pub for something to eat - well them two had something - what did I get? a big fat nothing - I could have just gone a portion of chips or something ... after Mr & Mrs Porky finished, we waddled back to the river - I kept hearing "I couldn't eat another thing" - lucky then ain't you 'cause I got naff all !!! While they were stuffing their little fat faces, I was plucking up courage to 'go for it' when we got back to the shore and that's what I did - I didn't know it, but I can swim !!!



We had a long walk by the river and then back in the car - It was then it happened !! - I just blinked my eyes for a second in the pub car park and then opened them and we were in Horns Cross - spooky !!

Anyway, my hair got in a right state, so I am off to dry it before it goes all frizzy ....
