We got in the car and went to Westward Ho! - The village name comes from the title of Charles Kingsley's novel Westward Ho! (1855). The exclamation mark is therefore an intentional part of the village's name. It is the only such place name in the British Isles, although Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha!, Quebec, shares the distinction of having an exclamation mark in its name........ RINGCRAFT joining the Open University would be more appropriate don't you think?
What a place - miles and miles of nothing ..... just sand - tastes rubbish and not a leaf in sight to eat .....
You 'aint gonna believe this, but there is just sooooo much water - never seen anything like it ....... much more than the sink them two kept dumping me in .... I didn't go too much on it really until Chris (old Victor Meldrew) paddled out with me and it was alright really .... Maureen took a picture of him in there with me .... check out the bald spot ...... he thinks he's got a good head of hair - Victor's a slap head - Ha! Ha!
I will put a couple of pictures next - before and after the beach!!
We then went up to Chris's Ma & Pa's house for a sniff around and to see if she had cleaned behind her ears properly - much better I am glad to report ....
Right not much else to report but I have got to show you this - talk about laugh, I got an email from Louis's Mom, and apparently, after we had run riot in the garden the other day, digging and eating old Victor's plum tree, he was so knackered, he fell asleep in his water bowl .... Louis your a star ....
