Well another busy day today one way or another - We went into Bideford town for the first time for me to meet some different people .... they were really nice and and did the usual and made a fuss and stroked me .... we also had to go the the Local Tax Office - not for me, because I haven't got a National Insurance Number - and NO - I am not an illegal immigrant either !! - It was Chris who had to go. He went on and on moaning about the system and what kind of plonkers have they got working there, how they must all be foreign and cant read his notes ... nice one Victor .... he has been paid the same for the past 7 years and then got a letter to say they had changed his tax code and had to pay more tax ... instead of £16 per month on his pension, it had gone up to £130 .... sounds like they might be incompetent numpties - what ever they are??

We had a walk down the main street and went to the pet shop to try and buy some bad tasting stuff to put on the thing behind me. It follows me everywhere - It is just so annoying that I have to keep chasing it - They keep saying "STOP CHASING YOUR TAIL". I will have to stop because it might become a bad habit and apparently, I could even disappear up my own backside. They never got any stuff and are convinced they can stop me doing it by telling me NO all the time. We went back to the car - It's not too bad in there now - I didn't like it at first, but it's better now .... except when they have the radio on, and Chris Evans is on - can't stand him, he is far to enthusiastic for his own good that early in the morning.
When we got home, Chris got on putting up some railings between our house and next door - apparently, we getting a toad ..... because that is what they are for - to keep the little toad in the garden ........ He was at it all afternoon while Maureen planted some spuds and watered the garden ... it's much better now as the turf tastes much nicer when it's wet, and of course, much more comfortable to roll in.
In the evening, I was really tired after all that and so was 'the old man' we watched a bit of telly and me and my Dad had a kip on the settee ....... I go on about him, but he's not such a bad old stick really .....
